I am a professional designer with over 20 years of experience. I've designed children’s magazines, iOS apps and I’ve been building websites since dial-up modems. Remember them?

I began my career way back in the late 1990s, working for a children's publishing company in Manchester. I was working with characters such as Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Rugrats, and I loved it. It's also where I met my wife, Gabrielle.

After several years working in Manchester, I decided that in order for me to spread my wings, I would need to go to London. In my new position I was working with characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear and Jack Sparrow. It was great! So great in fact, I stayed there for 13 years. Whilst living and working in London, in my spare time I was also an Apple Mac Consultant for a number of media companies. This increased my love and knowledge of technology ten-fold.

During my time in children’s publishing I learnt so much as a Designer, and when Steve Jobs introduced the world to the iPad, I knew straight away that I wanted to be part of that. My employer set up a digital department in Copenhagen, and I became part of that team, travelling over a few times a month. I was given the freedom to create and build iOS apps using some amazing licensed characters, I was in my element. After a few years of developing apps for Egmont, I decided that I wanted to design and develop apps for myself, using my own character based on my little dog, Georgie. I created Bammbosh Ltd, a children's app development company, that creates fun, advert-free, interactive stories and activity apps for young children.

Throughout my interesting and varied career, there has been one constant. Web design. From the first website that I designed for my dad's school back in the late 90s to the variety of websites I’ve created for small businesses to the site you are reading this on, I have always been fascinated by the World Wide Web.
