👋 Hi, I’m Colin
I run cptcreative and work directly with businesses to design, support and look after their websites in a clear, thoughtful way.
I run cptcreative as a small, focused studio, working directly with the people behind the businesses I support.
Most of my clients aren’t interested in jargon or clever tricks. They want their website to work properly, be easy to manage and feel confident that someone sensible is looking after it.
That’s the role I take on, thinking things through carefully, explaining things clearly and being a reliable point of contact over the long term.
Philosophy
Most of the problems businesses have with their websites don’t come from a lack of tools or technology. They come from too much noise, too many quick decisions and things being bolted on without a clear plan.
I believe digital work should be calm, considered and purposeful. That means understanding what actually matters, making sensible decisions and setting things up in a way that’s easy to manage and support over time.
My focus is always on clarity, in structure, in content and in how things are explained, so the website supports the business rather than becoming something to worry about.
What I do
I work with businesses across three main areas.
I design and build websites that are structured clearly, perform well and are set up to be supported properly over time.
I help businesses improve how they’re discovered online, focusing on search visibility rather than chasing rankings, so it’s clear where attention will have the biggest impact.
And I provide ongoing care and partnership support, giving clients clarity, reassurance and someone responsible for keeping things running smoothly as their business grows.
Who I work with
I work best with businesses that care about doing things properly.
That usually means people who value clarity over complexity, quality over shortcuts and long-term thinking over quick fixes. They see their website as something important to the business, not just something to get done and forgotten.
If that sounds like you, we’ll likely work well together.
Experience
I’ve been working with websites and digital systems for many years, supporting a wide range of businesses, from solo operators to established organisations.
Over time, most of my work has come from long-term client relationships. That continuity matters, because it means understanding how a business evolves and being there to support it through changes, not just at launch.
The experience that brings isn’t about knowing every tool. It’s about recognising patterns, avoiding unnecessary problems and making sensible decisions that stand up over time.
Modern Tools
I use modern tools, including AI, where they genuinely help, but never at the expense of judgement or context.
AI can be useful for analysis, pattern-spotting and explanation, but decisions about your website are always made with your business in mind. Tools support the work, they don’t drive it.
That balance matters, especially as technology continues to change.
Why I exist
cptcreative exists to reduce confusion and technical stress for growing businesses.
Too often, websites become sources of frustration, unclear, fragile or hard to manage. Not because the business has done anything wrong, but because things weren’t set up thoughtfully from the start.
My role is to bring clarity, make sensible decisions and look after the digital side properly, so business owners can focus on their work without constantly worrying about their website.
Personal Note
I tend to work best in a steady, considered way.
Clients often say they appreciate having someone who thinks things through, explains what matters and doesn’t rush decisions or add unnecessary noise. My aim is to make the technical side feel quieter and more manageable, not more demanding.
I’m responsive and approachable, but I’m also careful about boundaries so the work stays focused and sustainable.
As my business has grown so have the needs of my website. I was very nervous of changing my host. Colin at cptcreative not only created a beautiful, fresh website that reflected exactly what I wanted for my brand, but he dealt with the technical side of everything, seamlessly transferring my emails, organising the payment systems and helping me not to fear those dreaded words… SEO!
